Letter from the Director
Charlotte Allstar Families,
We are pleased to announce Charlotte Allstars is expanding to a third location next season! We are merging with Prodigy Allstars of Concord. The program will be run by their current program director, Amanda Smith. She has been running the allstar program for the past 5 years. Both Amanda and the Prodigy program are an excellent fit with Charlotte Allstars because she shares our values and understands that our successes are measured by helping to develop young people and cheerleading is a vehicle toward that effort.
Charlotte Allstars Concord will still compete under the Prodigy Allstars name for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. Prodigy families purchased new uniforms just last season and we feel it’s important that our clients get good use out of their investment.
We are expecting Charlotte Allstars Concord/Prodigy to grow to over 250 athletes this season. In addition, we plan to field a Senior Level 5 Worlds team for the first time in the Prodigy program history! It will be the first Worlds level team in the Concord area! This Worlds level team will compete under the Charlotte Allstars name.
Charlotte Allstars is excited that with the addition of Prodigy Allstars to our family, it will continue to help make our brand stronger and more prestigious. This is a model that has been highly successful for other well respected programs we work closely with including Stingrays and ACE. The addition of the Concord location will make us one of the top five largest programs in the country serving over 800 athletes on nearly 40 teams at three locations! Prodigy’s current coaching staff will complement our existing staff at Main and South. We look forward to the opportunity of having the Concord staff share their own successful experiences and coaching approaches with our staff.
In addition, an instructor from our Main location will rotate to the Charlotte Allstars Concord gym. Just like South, this will allow our athlete families flexibility in finding classes, at now one of three locations, on a day and time that is most convenient to meet individual needs and schedules.
The Charlotte Allstar Concord tryouts are May 7th, 8th and 9th. Please see the attached flyer for additional information on the CAC Concord evaluations. If you have friends who live in the Concord area, feel free to pass along Amanda’s email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
Please join us in welcoming Prodigy to the Charlotte Allstars family. Thank you for your continued support of Charlotte Allstars and for being a part of our growing family.
Thanks,
Leigh Ann Barger
